yesterday i received my golden eagle worldwide roger beep and tried installing in it my cobra 142GTL...i followed then enclosed install intructions but it wont work i do 1-5 right and 6 says unsolder receive wire (if any) from mic socket and solder to "R" terminal on the board...but radio diagram says there in no recive wire could this be the prob? help is in need. ive installed roger beeps b4 in other radio but this one got me :S help

there is a recieve wire
cobra mic wireing
Pin1=Shield
Pin2=Audio
Pin3=Transmit
Pin4=Receive

On the Cobra 142GTL with a 5 PIN Microphone Plug/Connector your RECEIVE is Microphone PIN #3

PIN #1 ~ AUDIO
PIN #2 ~ SHIELD
PIN #3 ~ RECEIVE
PIN #4 ~ Sw WIRE
PIN #5 ~ TRANSMIT

no wire on pin 3 tho and its a 5 pin. theres 3 wires...pin 1 is red 2 is black and 5 is white (looking at plug with notch on top) will try and get pics and post them somewhere.

DFS,does the radio recieve without the mic plugged in?if so then that part of your instructions can be disregarded.try running a jumper from the rec terminal on the rb board and to the speaker - (neg) terminal in the radio.that might help.from your pics,the mic jack looks like it may have been modified before.

it does not recevie with mic unpluged. yup the radio has extra channels (25.995MHz-28.00MHz) and from what i can tell it has a modulation mod to it also. ok and to get this right run a jumper from - neg on the speaker to the receive post on the board...??
