I Have a Rci-2950 (old version) that seems to be suffering from front end overload (stations within a couple miles sounds garbled), i have changed
R78 from 2.2k to 6.8k and R49 (100k) to 33k. This has no effect on it. Any Help is Greatly Appreciated.

Also the Signal meter on recieve is not working, Transmit side the meter works fine.

Thanks once again.

D-12 gave no reading at all, where it should have had around a 100ohm reading on Rx1, it showed nothing at all. when i pulled it from the radio it came all to pieces.

D-12,and D-11 are Germanium Diodes, on a VOM (Volt-Ohm Meter) these should read around 100ohms on the Rx1 Scale, where other diodes (silicon) will be around 10-15 ohms, Remember you will only get this reading one way on the diode.
Original Number for these diodes are 1N60P, or ECG553 or SK9975 can be used.

About the only mod I have tried so far is the diode (1n914) and resistor (50 ohm) mod to increase heavy swing at low power, works great.

I tried different values in another 2950 a good while back, had the best luck out of the 50ohm.
