Hello,
Anybody here build mobile amps? If so I would like to build for my self about a 3 to 4 pll mobile box using 2879’s. using it behind the 6900 I need a high drive amp, so rather than buy one from somewhere I would like to build it myself, now I know nothing about building amps, I know a few basics about radio repair and modifications, so I would like to know if somebody can help me out on building an amp, maybe supply some pics of a step by step process. So that I can get this thing going, I have the transistors already, I have heat sinks and plenty of cases, just need to know how to put it all together along with what other parts I will need, any help is appreciated .

Thanks

rfparts.com, cbcintl.com have instructions/plans and SOME parts to build 2-pill amps. my 1st amp build was a dead copy of an old solid state black cat around 1979 using the schematic that came with the amp and the amp itself. needless to say, the factory amp worked better! i've built others, but am definitely not ready to market 'em! i'll stick with buying 'em already made!
