Has anyone compared these two? What are the pro & cons of each? Which one is more broadband?
I'm looking for a base that will cover from 25-29.7 mhz with low swr's. Will be mounting on a 36' mast.

Thanks,

Stogie

hey stogie, go to the subscriber (preview) section of this forum and look in "reviews". there you will find all of the comparison info youll ever need. BTW, yes anyone and everyone has chimed in on the discussion of these antennas.
heres one more: i love the maco v5/8 wave, if you have the room and can put it up high enough (which it sounds like you can) it is an awesome performer. if you use it, here are some tips: use some dielectric grease (for tune ups at the auto parts store) between all the telescoping sections. this will prevent corrosion. put some bath tub caulk on all the bolts after they are tightened. they wont loosen from vibration. put a plastic or rubber cap on the top. it is very important. use the caulk on the coax connector also.
have fun.
matt
