I have an older Super Star 250, early 90's vintage, Yellow case with heat sinks, no meter on it. Was it made by Texas Star? Also, can anyone tell me anything about this amp, good, bad, or indifferent. It has a 3 setting rocker switch and the case says "Automatic side band" which probably doesnt mean squat. Also has a pre-amp switch.
This amp used to be powered by a stock Cobra 19 plus, with good swr readings (below 1.5) when it was hooked, but i suspect the cobra may of been putting out 5 or so watts when used in the car vs the 4 watts it was supposed to.
Ideas/comments welcome

im certin it was another one of the palomar style amps, i imagine it puts about 180 max power out. its probally using 1446 finals in it |
