I sent my Cobra 148gtl in for a complete tune & allignment to the local CB shop, who is supposed to be good... Someone who owned it before me played around with all the tuning coils and took it way off freq and way out of allignment on everything...

Anyway, He did get it realligned and back on freq., but now he says he is having a problem with No Modulation, It is keying up, just no Mod.
This thing, Even though it was way out of allignment did have modulation before I sent it in, I know that for a fact, Which leads me to believe, He is trying to pull something to get more money, or he screwed something up....

If it is true that there is no Modulation, what may cause it before I get raked over the coals with him fiddeling around trying all kinds of new parts, He basically told me, He cant figure out why its not modulating.... I really dont feel like spending a fortune on someone who dont know whats wrong with it...

Any help would be appreciated...

William

i would check IC4 the audio chip.. an all the traces from there.. an every componet you hit along the way.. trial an error is the best method for this i have found.
