The question is why when I am on say 146640 and I enter a new Frequency 14611o say, and I hit the repeator after I enter the CTCSS TONE AND TALK, WHEN I GO BACK TO 146640 I HAVE TO RENTER THE CTCSS CODE AGAIN, IT COPYIED THE ONE I ENTERED ON 146110 SO I HAVE TO CHANGE IT AND IT GOES BACK AND FORTH.
IT DOES SAY YOU MIGHT NOTICE A DC ENC and DCS appearing, I do not.or T=DCS and TSQ =DC , ALL I SHOW IS TSQ,
Thank you for your time, and knowledge

Karatebutcher,

If you change the PL tone while in the VFO mode, all of the freq in the 2m band will have that tone. In order to have different freq with different PL tones, the freq and tone has to be programed into memory. Once all of your local repeaters w/ PL tones, and simplex freq has been set to memory, you can then scan the memory bank instead of the whole band.

Hope that helps.

Joe
