Could someone please explain to me exactly what an RF Loop is. I heard this term the other day and I really have not idea what it is.

The loops I'm familiar with would be direction-finding loops composed of coax tuned to resonance with a capacitor. The pattern produces nulls broadside to the loop that indicate a line along which the transmitter lies. Or, you might be thinking of frame or ferrite core loops also meant for receiving RF signals.

Did that answer your question?

You could be referring to ground loops also. You can read about such at RF Ground Systems
