I have a imax 2000 on a pole at 42 feet to the bottom of the antenna and its working great! my question is would you move it up to 54 feet if it wasn't going to be a big deal to do? would it make any real difference? thanks again! |

With your current height above average terrain as an unknown, raising it just over another quarter wavelength will give you a slightly different signal pattern which you might notice over time. |

With all the stuff in the world around us, you might see one station better and another not quite as well. That is very often how I have found it over time, just as K7gs stated so well.
Just leave it where it is. The extra height could be a weather worry. |

If I could go up 200 feet, I would. Height is the one most important factor for long range communications in your area.

If you can safely put it up to 54 feet,
try it and see how it does. You can
always move it back down.
