I recieved a Icom IC-718 .That already had the expanded TX mod.I know that the icom is no driver every thing swings backward but can any one tell me why the modulation gets cut in half on the 11 meter band?The radio does other weired stuff aswell on the 11 meter band but the audio is what Iam wondering about

If you will just go to your seach on the web and type in ic-718 mods there is tons of stuff on the web for this radio.

my ic735 swings backwards on the meters as well. check it on a scope, it swings forward. weird, huh? meter isn't fast enough to follow the action, & it's fooled into pulling the needle too far backwards too quickly. the scope follows it instantaneously. of course the AM does have to be adjusted correctly or it WILL swing backwards, not enough carrier & it will 'sideband'.
