Which is a better radio? The M-1 or the S-3? I need help on this one beacuse both cost the same. |

Both are very good radios depending on what you want or need or what looks/design you like.
The S-3 has a little more power and the M-1 has the EKL Components colored lens kit and MIL-SPEC, FR4 Fiberglass Board! A Magnum M-1 Exclusive!

After testing, using and doing the reviews on both radios I personally like the S-3.
Both radios are quality built and offer excellent performance.
And they are both the same price.

I bought an S3 in June of last year. It has to be the least reliable 2 way I've had in the last 30 years. It is now at the warranty repair shop for the 4th time. Voice mod fades out to nothing after the unit warms up and key up over 15 seconds. Power out put is ok, just no voice mod.
I'd be interested to know the percentage of S3 units having to go back for repair 2 or more times. Is this common or do I have a lemon? |

8Ball, I think you have a lemon man...
DXModulator, I would go with the M1 only becouse I like the idea of the mil. spec stuff, etc, seems like it would be more rugged. Of course I wont bu one 'couse I wouldn't buy an AM only radio, I LIKE MY SIDE BAND!!!
