In Galaxy radios, maybe others too, the white ceramic looking pads for mounting transistors, does anyone know where to get these? Do you have to use these or can you use the old mica style? I assume the white ones are ceramic and I assume the others are mica. I could be wrong though.

yes,you can sub the older mica or even the blue silicone type for the white ones.no matter which ones you use be sure to increase the efficiancy by using the thermal paste.

Using the paste is like Wal-Mart...always. Never seen the blue ones, where can you get those?

I really like the white ones myself, I hope somebody knows a source for these.
