I'm having tv-i problems with my 2990dx. I run mic gain on radio at 50 % and also have power mic set at 41/2. I use rg213 coax cable and use a workman 2k low pass filter. I have a I-max 2000 antenna grounded and on 20'pole total height is 44'. I come across my neighbors tv without cable and there portable radios & answer machine. In my house just a little on our cable tv but no complaints from wife.Also we have cordless phone & answer mach. but no problem. Do I need to go higher with antenna & is workmen low pass filter ok or go biger.Is there a correct way to Install filter such as in & out.nothing marked on filter. |

Hey Santa all I want for xmas is no tvi!!!!!!!Check
out my rfi and grounding post on installations.How close are your neighbors?Sounds like receiver overload.Is moving your antenna an option?I had the same problem a few years ago,moved my antenna to a tree 200' in the backyard improved my rf grounds
and haven't had any problems since.I just talked to them yesterday and asked if I was coming over anything and they said no.I'm running 900 watts through a d&a splatter box.Seriously,check out that link on my installation post it is very informative.

Yes moving antenna more into the back yard is option. From antenna they are about 30 yards away.
