I am redoing all my base cables.

Is there any down side to replacing the cables from the radio to the meters and to the amp with RG 213 or RG 8U and leaving the RG 8 mini up the mast until I get a chance to replace it?

I didn't think so, and I can't see buying both and throwing new cable into the closet.
