does yours have 6 wires or 5? it may not have the yellow or green one.
blue wire to audio pin on mic socket
black wire to ground
red wire to the 'on' side of on-off switch
green wire to transmit pin on mic socket OR yellow wire to transmit pin on mic socket AFTER removing factory wire to transmit pin. THAT wire gets soldered to green wire.
orange wire SPST switch to ground

I've never gotten one of those to work unless I use a 12v relay.. if you use one of those it'll work.

How did you wire up the relay? I'm having a similar problem installing it in a Galaxy 73. It's the same Workman 5 tone as in the pic above.
Thanks!

I havea cobra 29ltd chrome imtrti g to add a 5tone beep i to but i have been told i need touse a relay i order for thebeep to transmit rather than just be in my speaker. My question is, what type of relay should i use and where exactallywhere does it get hooked up? Alsorather than i stalling the beep in to the radio ive been considering mounting it into a project box with a mic in and a mic cord from box to radio so it can be switched between my two different radios the same as i plan ti do with an echo board, do i still need to do tye relay and again if so where does it go and what type to use for this purpose. I figue for power i can just run the 13.8v pos and neg to the power supply for both beep and echo rather than putting rhem i the radio and having to add holes for switches and dials. The beep izs a workman 5tone "bandit" i believe it is called and the echo is a TRB-1tb with talkback however i am not going to run the talkback feature cause bymounting it in a box rather than theradio itself i didntthink it would work besides at least whenit is running on the 29 chrome the radio has tb built into it already i just wouldnt have talkback while hooked up to a different radio unless i can getthe echo boards tb function operational with it being mounted in an external box rather than in a radio. PLEASE HELP ME IM STUCK!!!!

THANK YOU FOR ANY ASSISTANCE ANYONE CAN GIVE THAT HELPS AND WORKS!!! :0)
