Can anyone tell me about the black alcapone antennas? I don't know if I spelled that right or not. I heard it is better than a steel whip.

Thankies! I appreciate the comeback on that.. I just don't see me putting a steel whip on a 95 ford crown victoria LOL it looks funny enough with a wilson 1000 on top :D I have thought about mounting the whip on the side, but I don't know if the S.W.R.'s will be good on it..?..

The 102" is really good on the side, far rear quarter panel.

They're tough, too! I was watching 4-Wheeler TV on the Outdoor channel and a poor guy flipped his Jeep. Had a 102" whip. Jeep rolled over and over and over and over. The whip was flippin' and swingin' every which way, sometimes on the ground,
sometimes whipping violently in the air as the Jeep continued to roll down the hill. When he stopped, the whip seemed to be no worse for wear--not even bent! :-)

Rover:

I grew indifferent to the sound of my 102" whip hitting trees, when off road in my Jeep! LOL

I had a good mount and had lots of power going through it too. I could talk to both coast from Texas.

Run enough power Crackerjack and you can trim the trees as you drive along.Bigbob

I kept the ice off the trees around here.. LOL...

You have to have a heavy duty mount and a good spring too.

I miss my Jeep.
