I expected to find this information on the internet, but I cannot.
What are the actual weithts of the following antennas, with groundplanes attached?
A-99 with groundplane
Imax-2000 with groundplane
Maco V 5/8
I guess I could call Customer Service and ger shipping weights, but I thought the information might be a little more handy?
BTW, Maco doesn't list the weight on their website like it does the beams, that I can find. |

I called Customer Service and they said they had already talked with you or someone with the same questions but here it is.
A-99 ~ 6-lbs
A-99 ~ GP Kit ~ 3-lbs
IMAX 2000 ~ 9-lbs
IMAX GP Kit ~ 4-lbs
Maco V 5/8 ~ 9-lbs
Maco V5000 ~ 10-lbs
But this will not help much if you are trying to figure shipping costs as different over size charges/rates #1 or #2 will also add more for shipping.

The first two people I talked to told me that I had to wait until UPS weighed them. I knew that wasn't right, so I was persistant.
By the way, the numbers they gave me were nothing like the ones you quoted.
They told me that the IMAX 2000 was 13 lb without the GPK, and the A-99 WITH GPK was only 6 lb combined. I knew that that probably wasn't correct.
Oh well, don't cause any earthquakes over it -they are still the best Customer Service people in the industry! |

I resolved to simply replace my Starduster, and construct a better tower later in the summer, and errect an Imax 2000 and a 4 element "Horz" beam.
This will give me time to collect the materials and do it right. |

Regardless of the weight the Imax is oversize and will be the same price of a 30lb package. So if you ship the imax and it weighs 1 lb it will be the same price as if it weighs 29 lbs. That's the way it used to be years ago when I was shipping guitars, they may have changed it.

Sorry but I was concerned about weight on the mast, not weight in the "Brown Truck". LOL
I guess I should have said so!
U am reconstructing a tower later in the summer to hold an IMAX with GPK, it will have Guy Wires and a concrete base -and be far away from my neighbors so it couldn't hit them if it were to blow over.
