Crackerjack,

All of the RG8X Mini / RG-213 / RG8UW / and RG-213U NC coax that Copper sells by the foot is manufactured by S.I.W. (Superior Insulated Wire).

Hope this helps,

Lon

Thanks.. I am guessing that the loss figures for that cable is roughly the same as the Beldon?

Lon, the bury flex is .701 db loss at cb frequencys or 27 mhz per 100ft.

Is the RG-213U NC the same or close in loss? I got the info from davis for 27 mhz loss on the bury flex.

Please let me know cause I need to buy 150ft in next month or so and I want the least loss at best price.

also is it flexible enough for beam instelations?

Thanks for the info in advance,
AP

Airplane1,

Since they are both meet the same spec's I would guess the loss is the same.

Bury Flex coax is not designed for beam installations as it is far more rigid and not designed for rotor use ie: constant bending/flexing.

Run the bury flex up the tower to the top and then add RG213 jumpers from it connecting it to the beams.

As for the Best Price then Copper has the lowest price.

Hope this helps,

Lon

Lon, how much extra do I need to go around or to be loose at my PDL-2 antenna. I wish I had a close up pic of how to do this.

Airplane1,

It depends on where your coax mounts on the antenna and how far your connection is to the other coax on the tower and how long your mast pipe is.

Then figure in about a 1 foot loop for both jumpers from the mast pipe to the tower so you have plenty of room for the antenna to turn.

Then tie your coax off on the mast pipe and on the tower.

Hope this helps,

Lon
