My Mag s9 has had the freq mod (dont know if thats relavent) but the pwr adjust on front panel only works on am not ssb.

Can you help me with this??? (I want to run an amp)

Also can you please tell me thr vr functions Eg alc amc ssb pwr etc etc ???

Look to the left of the forum under

TOOLS
Mic Wiring
Frequency Chart
CB & HAM Lingo
Modification List

Click on Modifiction List, click on the first drop down menu, slect the Make of the radio then click on the second drop down menu and select Model. You will find what you need there.

It will only work on AM. It wont adjust power on SSB

the mic gain adjusts power on SSB, & backing it down from 40 watts to 15 or so shows minimal if any difference in audio. you can even back mic gain down til output on SSB is UNDER 10 watts, put a decent power mic on it, & give it the appearance of LOUD audio, with the lowered output.
