I've read what post I can find about this, and I don't really find an answer.

I just got a 959 from a friend. When you turn the clarifier knob, it doesn't really change the freq's. To the far left doesn't do anything. Center it will be dead on the channel. Far right only changes it like from 26.965 to 26.966.

I've done the mods from CB Tricks, I get no change. Anybody know what the deal is, is it locked from the factory or what?

Also is there a super mod for this radio and where do you install it? What should the radio do AVG power and PEP?
