Nickle, I bought brand new in 1974, a Palomer
"Skipper 73" 23 channel AM/SSB base station tube radio.

I thought I had arrived in the world of radio!
When they came out with 40 channels, I contacted Palomer, but was told they could not convert it to 40 channels. I even still have the letter!

The radio was very good. Total chrome case too. Would light up a room at night, as the case had tons of holes in the top so heat could escape.

Hey Hobo. I ran a Super Scanner with mine and a Super Mag. I really loved mine, but I did not have the extra fancy stuff you had. Newly wed at the time. Need I say more? Somehow, I missed the speaker and watt meter, or I probably would have bought them. Do you still have all of that set up?
