I just recently purchaced an rci 2970 ( older version with the orange display) its been tuned has the amp swicth and had an 11 meter convertion done onit,i payed $150 for killer radio good price. what i want to know is does the 10 meter ham freqs. still werk or do i have to convert it back,was thinking about getting a ham license,and can talkback,echo board and a sound module be installed in it.any thots,ideas ,answers would be appreciated,thanx

With the conversion you will still have the 10 meter band coverage.

Thanx yaw im enjoy the heck out that radio it rocks.Its going to get tb echo and sound mod. and it might get more coverage (future projects for it) would also like to change the color display.I got a cobra ltd 25 classic (no mike) and a uniden pc 86 xl gonna give them a couple o mods fer somthing to do. skip a rollen in and got some fire werks sooooo....im out the door ya'll have a good 4th and this mudduck is 10-6! |
