my buddy gave me an old lafayette telsat 140 40 channel with sideband says it from 1977 on the back of it and it looks brand new.I can't seem to find any mods for this radio and i have looked all over the net.I wanna ulock the clarifier and maybe and some extra channels to it.can anyone help?thanks!

that was a very good unit in it's day. hefty heatsinks for the 1306 driver & 1307 final. decent power supply.

lafayette ssb-75 mobile was the same radio.

That information seems correct to get 120 ch on a pl02 chip you only have to toggle a few pins ( 9-10 ) It is a very cheep mod.

Mr Freebird its not that hard got a tech or someone that has afew skills have then do the mod
PS check your area for someone that tricks out
computers too as they will understand that link also.

yeah but theres no techs here..is the mod there to unlock the clarifier?maybe it is i didnt see it if it was.later
