ON MY HOMEBREW AMP. RUNNING 2 813 TUBE'S ON TOP OF THE HV CHOHE COIL IT'S TAPPED TO THE TUBE CAP'S AND THEIR IS A 500MFD 20KV.DOOR KNOB CAP ON THE SAME TAP LEADING TO THE PLATE AND TUNE AIR CAP'S MY OUESTION IS THEIR SUPPOSE TO BE VOLTAGE GOING THOUGH THIS CAP TO THE AIR CAP'S OR NOT ONLY RF THANK'S JOHN

there should be NO dc voltage going thru the cap.

the cap is a rf feed through cap and not a bypass if you see voltage goung through it and you want to check it simply remove it from the circut and test for resistance accrost it, it should be infanant, if you see any resistance other than infanant than the part is shorted, being that it is a homebrew amp and if it is shorted than i would assume that it is a under rated part as in a 10,000 volt part where it should be a 25,000 volt part.
