I just got my OMEGA FORCE MONDAY , love the radio , but don,t understand the top gun , if I turn power down all way , it dead keys 3 and swings a little over 30 - if I turn top gun on , it still swings to the same point . Is this normal ? it dk 3 turned all the way down and 12 all the way up . less pep on ssb than am |

With your MTX OFF and turned to STX it depends on where you have the Power Knob/Control set.
With the MTX on this cancels your PWR Adjustment and does it automatically for you.
Yes it is normal depending on where you have your power set at in the STX Mode.
Ours throws right at 40W PEP with a dead key of 3W on MTX or STX depending on where we have the Power set on STX.

Thanks LON , what I was really wondering is that with power all way down , I see no difference in swing either in STX OR MTX . is this normal ? I am not familiar with TOP GUN , but thought it was suppose to show more swing than stx when power was turned down . I get great reports either way , just can,t tell if the TOP GUN IS WORKING . |
