I am looking the TVI / RF / Noise Filters from the coppers catalog. #2 V10-05780 PDC 1089 Low Pass TVI Filter. if any one has any good info about this filter and if they work for cutting out RF interference please let us know. |

What kind of RFI interference are
you causing? I have the LM-TVXZ (MTI)
low pass filter from Coppers. Works
good for TVI.
What kind of antenna you running? |

Road_Warrior the LM-TVX2 if that’s what you mean Road_Warrior is no longer available / SOLD OUT according to Lon Tech 808, so I was looking at the V10-05780 PDC 1089 Low Pass TVI Filter. 
Hollowpoint445 the kind of interference that he is getting is RF from me making his TV get funny lines and audio through his stereo. The grounding system on the unit here is through the flex to the plugs in the rooms and no ground wires them self’s except for the medal box's that the house plugs secured to. all my stuff has a separate ground I put in. realy I dont want to mess with his stuff. 
I just put my A99 30 feet in the air and still dealling with one room mates tv and stearo geting interferance and he is the only one in this place that is geting it. just trying to fix that problem on my end there Hollowpoint445.

Your using a A-99 antenna. You can try putting
a Ground plane kit on the A-99. May help.
Tell your friend to create a choke on
his stereo speaker wires. Make the wires
as short as possible by wrapping them around
his hand and wire tie them together. All excessive
wire that is not needed.
As for the TVI problem: see if hes running
through his VCR while watching TV. Tell him
to shut VCR off and just run TV. This helps in
many cases.
If he's using just TV and your interefering.
A good TVI low-pass filter may work. Or a high
pass filter connected to his TV may work.
Is he on cable or does he have an antenna
for his TV???? |

A TVI filter is not going to keep you out of stereo speakers.
Sounds like just plain overload interference. You can lower your transmitter power or move the antenna further away (or higher above) the stereo and TV.
Alternatively, you could install shielded speaker wires on the stereo unit and be sure they are NOT a fraction of a wavelength on CB frequencies. Avoid 4.5 foot increments (4.5 feet, 9 feet, 13.5 feet, etc.). |
