I've got a Galaxy 33. Sometimes when you key it and start talking people say they can't hardly hear you. You can turn the radio off and then right back on and the problem is cured. It comes back a little while later, and turning the unit off and on will cure it.

Anybody have an idea as to what is wrong with thing. Besides it's a Galaxy Pat & BC.

OK OK, could be the CLASSIC COLD SOLDER JOINT, a typical GALAXY malady!

I saw your name, and I knew I was in for it. I'll check that when that radio gets here.

Just cause I got a S9 doesn't mean I don't want to see some s9's strung out from you anymore either...

hey, c'mon here! THAT WAS A SERIOUS RESPONSE from me!
i have READ about a BAD S9-once! my friend bought it CHEAP to use as a test mule & blew it up 1/2 dozen or so times before settling on getting it to do it's rated output & leaving it alone!
& i have a DELTA that suffered from the dreaded CLASSIC COLD SOLDER JOINT syndrome.
just goes to show even magnum is only just NEAR PERFECT!

Well I've looked the radio over and I don't find a bad solder joint. I've replaced a few parts that I suspect could be breaking down and causing this problem. I didn't experience the problem myself, but replaced the parts anyway. I still haven't had the audio fade/drop to happen with me...
