I have a Ranger 2950 with q-32 missing.
Can someon please tell me what the part number of the transistor is, or the equivilent.

modulation limiter
someone removed it for more modulation
but it will probily get muffled
if it was mine i would
replact it

q-32 is a 2sc945, I just replaced it in mine, someone had removed it in mine too...

This transistor, when removed, can also cause overmodulation and clipping in the SSB modes. To open the AM modulation while keeping the ALC circuit intact, instead clip one leg of resistor R-291. The AM Modulation can then be regulated by the front-mike gain control.
