Does anyone know if the Cobra 200 GTL is a smaller radio than the Galaxy Dx 95T? If so, how much smaller? I'm talking about physical size and diminsions.

Mikefromms,

Since the Cobra 200 is not even on the market yet it would be hard to tell what size it will be.

I could only guess they will use the same frame, heat sink, board and case as the Cobra 150 GTL DX uses.

The CPU that is mounted in the Cobra150GTL DX is marked 150/200GTL so I guess they will slide it into the Cobra 200 GTL DX also.

The Dimensions / Size for the Cobra 150 GTL DX are:

Dimensions / Size 2-3/8 (H) x 7-7/8 (W) x 9-3/4 (D)

The Only difference I can see in the Pictures of the Face Plates are on the 200 GTL DX is they Remove the 4 toggle switches and replace them with a Frequency Counter and under the Signal Meter they add 4 Push Buttons. And have added 2 more push buttons and small lights between the Band Switch and Frequency Counter.

Hope this helps,

Lon

I heard the same info as Lon posted i am eagerly awaiting the 200 as well. I had a 150 here that belonged to a friend and jumped it to 11 meters for him. Wired an Astatic 575-M6 to it,didnt do anything to the audio or transmit left it as was.The radio does well, a vast improvemnet over the newer nightwatch radios bby far and an improvement over the 2010 base failure years ago. I have a hunch the 200 is gonna be a screamer. ANyone else have any opinions? Or have an opinion on the 150? i would be all ears.

These radios are due around August 13th. They can tune up really hot. A tech in my area removed a diode and got the 150 to swing 60 watts. Pretty impressive.

I'm patiently waiting for an email notification that the 200 GTL DX is available.
