The MB8719 does not support 10 Khz although you can open the Voice Lock to go 10 Khz easy or change the reference crystal , however you are going to need an alignment.

You may wish to check out the following website: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Port/1158/8719.htm. You will need to scroll down a bit. I should tell you that I have not tried this mod on my Washington, which has the MB8719 PLL.

Perhaps 307 or Tech181 could take a look at the mod shown and judge whether or not it works as claimed.

I looked at that. Seems the 10 Khz mod is for the McKinley, 140, and 142. Which, yes use the same PLL, but differ in other ways. There has been a lot of documentation on the mods for the 2000 due to its popularity. Because of that, the references I have should show that mod. They do not. I wouldn't trust doing the mod based on what that website says. It may work, or....

You want to pick up the skips like 195 and 095.
well just cut trace to pin 16
jump trace with 4,7k resistor. switch pin 16 to gnd to pick them up. ie at 205 will drop to 195 when switched and at 105 will drop to 095. etc
Wont give you 10 kc drops anywhere , but will pick up the gaps

Very good Adshar. You beat me to this one. But one thing more. You will need a 3 position center off toggle switch.

Every frequency that lies between channels 3-4, 7-8, 11-12, 15-16, and 19-20 WILL be picked up. Hardly worth the bother but it does work.

Now what did I do with that mod for rotating the feet to asure even wear?
