Good morning from a rainy U.K. I recently purchased the above radio from the good old U.S.A. (it was far more cheaper than here in rip off britain!)Anyway i have noticed a few things that dont seem right. I have no talkback on FM and it is garbeled on SSB. AM is fine. Power output is very low 6w on FM and about 12w on SSB (tested through a dummy load and decent power meter). I do not have enough modulation on SSB to drive a decent output! only a whistle will get 2w out if im lucky and finally the signal meter is lazy - key up right by the antenna and its 9db. I live in a small town and there is no rig-doctor near. The radio is new and the seal has not been broken. It would be very expensive to send the radio back to the U.S. Is there any things i can do to sort these problems out without the need of expensive test equipment. Thanking you in advance.

Apologies i forgot to mention the power outputs on all modes were taken when i first purchased the radio. Today they are 6w AM/FM and 2w SSB PEP?
