I have a Uniden PC 76 XLW with 3 weather bands.
I have a Uniden PC 78 Elite and a Uniden PC 68 XLW. These two have "7" weather bands. Can I take the 7 bands and put into the older style 76? I know I would also have to use the other knob to be able to switch for all 7 bands. Thanks.

Keith

I've never owned a CB that had weather channels in it so I don't have any idea how that receiver works. I own more than a dozen scanners so I don't need weather RX in my CB.

Just guessing - I doubt that it would be using a crystal for each frequency. I would imagine it's a single chip receiver with very little additional circuitry. If both radios use the same chip then you can probably just modify the three channel model to act like the seven channel model. If it's more complicated than that I don't know what to suggest.
