I have a chance to buy one of these radios. It is in great condition and works 100%. What I am asking is how much the radio is worth, other words what would you pay for one?

Radiodude,

A New or Used radio is only worth what YOU are willing to pay for it.

If you want it and you think you will be happy with it then that is all that matters.

But since you asked, I would not personally pay 2 cents for one New or Used.

You can check the internet auctions sites and see what they are going for.

The last two I saw went for quite a bit, $500+ in
excellent like new condition.
As Lon said, that doesn't mean they're worth that much. But to those that collect, it seems to be the trend.

some imformation on the arf 2001-- i got $650.00 for mine;;;;;;;;::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ARF developed the 2001 towards the end of the CB era. This, combined with the high price ($1,000) led to less than 1000 of this radios ever being built!

That makes this rig very collectible. While "Used" prices tend to vary between $500-$600, it's not uncommon to find a MINT model, in box, selling for $800 or more...

But can the rig "talk"? You BET it can.

My personal experience with the ARF is positive, however the adjacent channel rejection leaves much to be desired. If you plan on using an ARF on a daily basis, plan on "bleedover", unless you happen to live in an unpopulated area.

YES - These radios can be modified for out-of-band frequencies, although it's rather difficult.

Did yours have the frequency counter or the clock? I'd love to have one with the frequency counter.
