Hi!

I have a Cobra 78x (4-pin standard mic plug) and I have installed the 5 tone workman roger beep, works great! (red to 13.8v, black to power ground, blue to mic pin 2 audio, yellow to tx wire taken from mic plug and green to tx pin on mic jack....just like the instructions state).

When I connect the lt-2d (connex) echo board (j1 to audio wire/blue wire from mic jack (disconnected from mic jack), and j2 to audio pin on mic jack, shields to shield on mic plug) the echo works fine but the 5 tone roger beep sounds like a big buzz with some beeps in the background. Also, I have tried putting the radio audio wire/blue wire back on the mic pin of the socket and tied j1 and j2 together and ran them to that pin with the other wires and no difference. I think now it has to do with maybe adding a cap or something. The voltage feeding the lt-2d is 9v from a zener diode/resistor setup (also tried external power source at 9.5vdc as well, no difference ) any help would be great! (p.s. I have also tried this on a Cobra 90ltd with the same problems as well...)

thanks!
