traded 20 screwdrivers for the lafayette hb 740 good radio to mod up or just let it stock?

hey i need the mic wiring for a d 104 chicken choker to a lafayette telsat 140 ssb.i went to astatics site but its been under construction for the last 2 months ugh.

Lafayette Telesat to TUG8 Stand:

PIN #1 ~ WHITE

now i get a bad squeal with the last wiring for the tug 8 and it is a tug 8 strange..

Freebird,

Try removing the bottom plate and Cleaning the Contacts on the piano switches inside the base and check all wiring in the Base and up to the Head connector and also in the Mic Head itself.

You can use fine steel wool (0000) or a FINE emery board (finger nail board) or 360 sand paper to clean the contacts. Also check for arching spots on the contacts.

You can use a Volt / Ohm Meter to check the wiring from the base to the head connector.

You may also have a bad mic element.
