I used a Sadelta 14 years ago. I think it
had a long skinny neck and was made of
plastic. I think? Anyhow i sold it to
my friend, cause i didn't care much for
it. He still uses it and likes it on his
Uniden Madison.
I'll have to stop at his house i forget
what it even looks like...LOL...

A friend of mind had one on his Galaxy Saturn base, it was an ok mic, and if you like R-beeps it was kinda cool to hear the 3 tone r-beep.
1st you would hear the 2 tone r-beeps from the mic and then the radio's single r-beep would kick in and you got D-D Dut

I had a request for, yep I said request for a roger beep on the skip the other night. It was actual;y cutting down on people walking over each other.

My 257 doesn't do the "beep", wonder why Magnum left that out?

I run the Echo Master Plus on my Dak IX and it does a good job. The echo part of the mic you will need to adjust to your liking, there are settings on the bottom of the mic for that.

I had a couple of these mics at one time and ran one with a Roadpro 485 which is like your Magnum 257. It worked very well, but you can't turn it up to much as you will be very over modulated at least with the one that I used.

The sound of the mic is some what like the older Turner mics that have the more base tone to them. If you going to be running it on your 257 I think you would be pleased!

Grumpy: I ordered one, pre-wired for the Magnum 257. It was sent Saturday.

I set my modulation levels using a DOSY meter on a dummy load, and check it every once in a while. And get a friend to give me Off The Air reports on the settings -and remember the settings from the meter. This works well for me.

I thought that the Echo Master also had "Tone" control?

My SADELTA Echo Master came in this evening.

The neck is still metal, someone asked. Set up was easy. Lon has my Modulation set the same as 100% on the Mic's VU meter. Good deal Lon.

I got good reports, off the air, with it, and I like the ability to adjust the angle/direction of the neck.

Seems to be doing the job better than my D-104 Night Eaagle did.

I had one years ago and loved it too. I would love to get another one too for my 2990 but haven't been able to find one in the U.S.
