I have it's country cousin, the Cherokee CBS-1000 that doesn't have FM. Although after conversion the CBS-1000 is a 10 band radio.
On the Cherokee to bring up the 10 bands, you would hold in button # 1 while turning on the radio, and button #1 after the radio is powered up, changes the 10 bands of 40 channels each.
I have no idea if the Eagle Tomahawk operates in the same manner. My thoughts are that this radio is a trip to operate with all the functions of the different push buttons. Although I've found it to be a very good little radio.

Ok, I just checked, The Tomahawk does operate in the same manner as the Cherokee CBS-1000, the only difference is that the conversion is different and the Tomahawk has FM, otherwise the two radios are much the same to operate. I'll say one thing these radios do have some very loud transmit audio.
On the left side of the Copper Talk forum, scroll down to modifications, click on it. Then scroll to Eagle brand radios, there are two sites listed for the Tomahawk. And yes button #1 does change the bands. If you need to know the rest of the functions of the other buttons.
I'll hook up my Cherokee CBS-1000 which is packed away, as I don't have the room in my small shack to have all my radios set up at the same time. I will then make a list of the button functions and post them.

George, Did you notice that in the sideband mode, the top right button brings up plus or minus 5 KHz., this feature is a great plus when chasing DX.
There is also a noise blanker and ANL, when working with the function button.
The Cherokee CBS-1000 has the ten channel weather band feature activated with the mode button. I would believe that FM takes the place of the weather band, or does the Tomahawk also have the weather band? In your area of the nation the weather band is a great plus as well as my area during tornado season and severe storm happenings that we get quite a bit here in my area of Oklahoma.
