I HAVE ALOT OF DIFFERENT BRAND RADIOS , SOME I LOVE AND WOULD NEVER GET RID OF -- AFTER CALLING SAM LEWIS THIS MORNING WITH A SMALL PROBLEM WITH MY SET UP WITH OMEGA FORCE ( HE GAVE ME COURTIOUS RESPONSE AND ATTENTION AS IF IT WERE A MAJOR PROBLEM ) I HAVE DESCIDED THAT I WILL ONLY BUY MAGNUM RADIOS IF I BUY NEW . I CAN NOT IMAGINE CALLING ANY OTHER OWNER AND RECEIVING THIS KIND OF HELP -- PLUS MAGNUMS ARE JUST THE BEST

1861,

That is a MAJOR PLUS for RF Limited / MAGNUM International and Sam Lewis.

I guess Sam is the ONLY Owner who is willing and that cares enough about the products he puts out to actually talk with the people who buys his products to help them with any problems someone may have or answer questions.

Try calling some of the other radio manufacturers and you might get an Answering Machine, or someone who is only the Service Center in the US for that product or an e-mail address to send your question to.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS #1 and always has been #1 with Sam Lewis unlike with many other Radio Manufacturers.

And Sam Lewis / Magnum International is the ONLY! Radio Manufacturer / Owner to send his Radios / Products out for actual Testing and Reviews be the Review is good or bad to let the people know how they actually perform in every day use.

Most all of the other radio companies will just send a Picture and Press Release out or send the radio out so pictures can be taken with pre printed information to get it posted on the internet.

There is more to come...I hear from a very good reliable source that Magnum will be bringing out hi power versions of the S3, S6 and S9 (to compete with Cobra no doubt.)
First up will be a 70W version followed by the 150W models.
Go Sam, Go Magnum

Copper Forum Members,

Here is an e-mail I received today on the Line of Magnum Radios from Sam Lewis.

Hi Lonnie

I am sure you have by now heard about the ERF 2030.

This RF device and it's
companion part are at the heart of MAGNUM's new lineup.

We have been developing these devices and circuits to run them in for over a year.

By years end we will have all 50 watt models S3 S6 S9 running on ERF's.

Also during that time we will announce the S3 S6 S9 90+ watt models.

Early next year we will have a 175+ watt S3 S6 and S9.

The first models with the new ERF's start shipping next week.

The MINI-MAGNUM - 30 watt PEP.

The next shipment of S6 and S9 NX will be ERF
powered and should arrive in Oct.

These will be standard 50 watt models.

All features in these radios will remain the same, the only change is the devices powering these radios.

If you want more info let me know. If you want to evaluate a 30 watt MM
please advise.

Thanx Sam

i always liked my mini-mag and cant wait to try one of the new ones.

will you do a review on it like the other radios?

what is an ERF?

Eagle_eye,

Yes, Sam will be sending me one of the MAGNUM MINI MAGNUM Radios to me for a Review as soon as they arrive.

ERF is the name of a High Power Final that was designed & developed to replace the older 1969 finals that ceased production almost 2 years ago now.

I will be doing several 1969 to ERF Final Mods in a few Single and Dual Final Radios, and doing a Dual Final Mod in a single final Base Radio from different manufacturers in the next few weeks to find out what the actual difference is in power & performance over the older style 1969 finals.

Hope this helps,

Lon

Does the 257 have 1969's? I would be interested to know how the tests turn out also! Heck it may even be better than a "Galaxy final" hahahahaha

You mean Sams Father who made the Ranger AR3500 under the Ranger Name before Ranger Communications came along and took the name Ranger?

Hence the name RF Limited / Magnum International.

Early next year is not far away. I'm excited! This might replace my Galaxy DX-95T. Whether it replaces anything or not in the sense of selling off something; in the words of Will Smith in Independence Day: "I've got to get me one of these!"

P.S. They may as well go ahead and make a 175 watt version of the Omega Force and call it Omega Force S-175.

'Any word yet about how much these S-9s will cost?
I'd like to know how many banks I'll have to rob.'-i don't wanna suggest 'prices' to sam, but, bluegrass, my AR3500(precursor to the magnum radios)with ALL the toys-built in 2-2sc2290 amp, speech processor, variable power board, freq change mic, etc with shipping, cost WELL OVER $550-in 1987 or so!!! A LOT OF $$ FOR A CB TODAY, AS WELL AS 18 YEARS AGO!!! i STILL have it, it works flawlessly & had to send it back to RF limited for repairs a couple of times-i feel it was worth EVERY PENNY!!! it IS ABSOLUTELY the BEST CB radio EVER made!
though it was actually marketed as a 10 meter rig, like the current magnums, it was THE TOP PERFORMER on AM as well as SSB! it's receiver may even be just a bit more sensitive the the S9's, even, though it is also a bit sloppier when it comes to bleedover. i have channel guard kit for it, just haven't had time to open that radio up.

anyway, going by the base price of the current S9, i'd have to guess the 175 watt model has to rival the rci6900FTB/galaxy 95t/rci2970 in price, & probably more. BUT cobra SURPRISED me with the price of their 200GTL, though it does NOT seem to be as highly regarded as the S9...

Bluegrass,

Dennis / Tech291 Should be able to take a Picture of his new AR-3500 for you.

I gave him mine along with the Factory CLEAR CHANNEL CORP AR-3500 Shipping box when he was here for helping me with my Maco Beams.

Just a Note:

It is a RANGER AR3500 Radio BUT was manufactured by Clear Channel Corporation which is now RF Limited / Magnum International.

There is NO CONNECTION between the old Clear Channel Corporation and RANGER USA.

Hope this helps,

Lon
