I have the Emperor, which is a great radio. But I have seen the Cobra and it looks good. But I have heard it sucks, and it's the best thing since sliced bread.........so what is the real truth? And should I get one, or stay with what I have? I just need some info, so let's have it guys! |

I wanted one of those Cobra 200's but it seems hit or miss on if you get a good one and if it actually talks good. They either work great or suck big time.
If it was me, and the Emperor worked fine (on freq & talked good)i'd stick with the Emperor.
I just bought a radio from copper that was more than the 200 gtl, I mean, if there was less posts about how bad it sucked i would have went with the Cobra myself..

I wonder if the Cobra 200 is as good as the Cobra 148,??? |

200 vs NEW 148...that's like comparing, red delicious apples to golden delicious apples-when both are rotten . actually, a new china-148 i did up a year ago is still going strong in a dump truck...
i'd stick with the emperor, if you want more power, buy an amp. you know the emperor works... |
