I have a I-Max2000 on a ten foot pole mounted in
a 30 foot tower. I was wandering if I mount the
4 element beam 5 feet below the I-max would it cause inteference when using one or the other or would it be alright to mount them on the same pole together?

Mak32: If the beam is horz. 5ft. is fine. If the beam is vert. You have to be at least 5ft. above the top radial. But they will both work on the same pole. bullshipper 537 Texas...

Mak, are you talking about mounting the beam vertical? I've known several that tried it, and they did interfer with each other. If you talk DX, why don't you mount the Beam flat side, put it right under the I-Max. It's hard to beat a Beam on the flat side for DX talking, or groundwave if both have the flat. Also the flat Beam will give a groundplane effect for the I-Max. I run about the same thing, except I have a 3 element mounted flat at 73 feet with a I-Max above it. I put them at that height to get in the second wave-length, and to get above the big pine trees on this mountain. Scrapiron
