The two pots inside the mic what are they used for? Loking at the back of the mic on pcb left lower side sitting together. one pot left, one pot right. I got a 452 in my 30 dollar grab bag so I am going to try it on my S9. Wildrat |

Wildrat, On the Instruction Sheet that came with the Mic you will see: VR1 is for Variable Echo Time Control. VR2 is for Variable Power Control. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

There was instruction sheet with the mic when it came in the grab box. I kinda figured that's what they were for. I went out and tried three different mics on the S9. I cannot get a good review on any of them. The people that I have been making contact with just want to play games. I guess thats what happens when you live in the city away from the normal people. Every now and then I'll make contact with a radio person and not a person with a radio. Maybe I will move back out into the wilderness when the wife retires. Wildrat Thanks Lon for the info. |

I need to proof read these postings of mine a little better, people gonna think I'm nuts. They'd be right but theres no sense advertising the fact. Anyway what I meant is the mic did not have any instructions when it came in the grab box. Oh well I'm back to the Astatic 636 again. I just got to get used to the noise cancelling and make sure I have it at my lips before I speak. Wildrat |

the 452 works fine on my S9, i don't use it, but it deepens my 13 year old son's voice nicely...you need to get signal reports over farther distances with the S9, or shut the 'topgun' OFF around town... |
