Newbie here. Just joined the Copper forum. Looking to purchase my first mobile setup and install in my pickup. Located in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York. Any info and advice would be appreciated. Thinking of a Cobra 29LTD Classic and a Wilson 1000 antenna. Not sure if I should make the plunge and get a Cobra 200 with SSB. Any thoughts?

Sconover, if your going to fork out the money for a new radio, get one with SSB. I only had AM radios up till just a year or so ago, what was i thinking? I'll never own another unless it has side band.
