OK been taking everyone advice and got the OK from the wife to put up a tower has to be used can't afford new).
Here is the problem. Want to get another Top One and have it on the roof tripod as it can stay up during storms and if it fails it will not take the roof off my house.
The Maco V-5000 and eventually a beam will go on the tower.
Here is where it gets tricky
The tower will be mounted to the side of the house as my lot is not that big. SO:
(1) How much distance (in feet) should there be from the radial of the Maco to the radial of the Top One so it does not cause problems (whatever they may be)?
(2) How much distance (in feet) should there be from the bottom of the Maco to the top of the Top One?
(3) So what should the vertical, horizontal and diagonal offset be between these antenna's?
Oh yeah here is another question:
(4) Can I have a Polyphaser at the coax point of entry into the house yet then still run 50' of coax to my radio after the polyphaser?

(1) 18 feet or more.
(2) Does not matter.

Tech833 THANK YOU AGAIN
Went back and told the guy who had a 30' tower that I would take it. Have to go take it down though. Don't think it is any special brand or anything - probably not what I would have bought but is in good shape and for the cost of taking it down and moving it, well that's the price I was looking for FREE. I will allow for a Galvanized pipe to go through it that I can raise up or down for additional height to it.
May be off the radio for bit while I get all this put together but it is going to be sweet when it is finished.
Tomorrow I get two more parts I need in from Copper. They are having to replace the KLV and do not have anymore so that may be awhile (that's not good). Then I will need that new compression Desk mic in a 5 pin ASAP so come on Copper lets get them made and keep the price so I can afford one...

wait for the storm to go by and I can help with putting up that tower, I have gin pole, climbing belt, rope, etc etc..
I have been offering my help for sometime now..
The work goes faster and safter with help...
I ask nothing in return other then friendship.

Starface MUCH APPRECIATED. I know it is a good drive for you, especially just to put up or take down an antenna, now the tower I might take ya up on your offer. May not know it but you already have my friendship. My free time is anything but routine or even able to be planned on. I have a son who has some medical needs right now that are very time consuming. His last surgery should be in February though.
With that said though I may just take you up on the offer. I want to touch up some of the welds on the tower and give it a coat of grey paint before I put it up so may be a little while.
Will most likely put the Antron up on the side again (which is super easy but not very efficient) to get me by while working this project.
I will not get to any of this until after the storm that is for sure.
I am on the safer side of the State, we will be thinking of you and Dixie, keep your heads down stay safe and we will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Who knows we might get lucky and Wilma will go well south of all of us.
OK, here is a question: What is a GIN POLE ???

Tim, a Gin pole is 10'-12' long and is able to securely attach to a tower. It has a pulley at the top the allows one to lift a section of tower above the working section. This allows one to securely move a section into position to install to the working section you are standing on.
In other words, it allows you to more easily work above the top of the top working section. When you are finished, you move the pole up near the top of the new section and do it all over again.
