808, when I got to this section just now, I saw "New" meaning something new since I was last on. The last poster was yourself. I opened the section and saw no "New" post. I went to the very bottom post in the section back to maybe 2002 and there were several topics with "New" indicators beside the topics. Your handle was also noted as last poster for these topics. Maybe this is some maintenance thing, because on opening I did not find a response by you. What is the point of the "New" thing if the topic does not come to the top? Could you explain what is going on? |

Those may be posts that were moved from
another area of the forum to the correct
heading. |

Sorry but when moving Posts / Topics I need to make a single post with a period.
Then this allows me to bring the Topic to the Top so it can be relocated.
Then I can move the complete Topic / Thread and then I go back in and Delete my post with the period.
That is why it is showing Tech808 as the Last Post.

Thanks Road-warrior, Lon gave me an answer and you are correct, but what I was talking about was why move stuff around within the Antenna section of Ask the Tech.
Much of the stuff that is being bumped seems quite old. Nothing wrong in doing it, but I am curious why. |

Easy Question to Answer.
All of the posts / topics that are being moved are on various topics were located through out the Open Area of the Copper Forum.
This will help everyone when we are finished moving topics so that if someone has a Question on Antennas they can just Click on Antennas and find All of the posts / questions on Antennas.
This will be much easier than trying to scroll through the Open area, Ask the Tech Areas and other areas in the forum to find Antenna Questions and it will keep all of the questions / comments in a single area without having to scroll through 100 different topics in the Open Area to find an antenna question.
This will also help those with problems to find an answer quicker with all of the Antenna Questions located in a single area.

Oh I see, these post were not in Ask the Tech section earlier or if they were they were in another topic section under Ask the Tech. They could have been just about anywhere.
I just kept seeing old threads come to the top of the section on Antennas and I wondered why they were being moved to the top with no recent reply.
Makes sense now. |
