Here is a good one. Not only did my friend hook his radio up backwards, he did it to my spare.
Looking at trying to fix them both.
One is a Cobra 29, the protection diode is at location c119, but I cant find it on the other radio wich is a uniden pc78ltw.
Can anyone tell my which one is the protection diode for the Uniden??????

don't have 1 in front of me, but it quite possibly could be hanging out in mid-air off the power connector on rear of radio. it should show obvious signs of 'fire damage', maybe even just 2 short pieces of wire with no diode left...it will be in the same place on both the cobra & uniden. |
