I'm looking for a good backup cb to use for monitoring ch 9 and to have in case my primary radio is 10-7.I'm concidering the TRC-521 because it has weather band with alert and most of all it has dual watch so I can keep an ear on the club channel and on the emergency channel while exploring the band with the main rig.If anyone has one or has used one please tell me what you think. |

Any working radio is a good backup radio. The dual watch would be a great feature as you described. Remember, your radio's only as good as your antenna. A good mic helps too.  |

Well I got that covered.OH! a note to Lon and the forummaster theres no RadioShack heading listed in the modifications drop down list.Just Realistic which only lists the older models and a listing titiled Tandy and only lists 3 models. |
