Does anyone know what type of diode D11 is for this radio? I need to fix someones hack-job they did. Thanks

I have no clue what the value of this diode is, but since you typed diode and hack-job in the same post, I will take a wild guess that D11 is the modulation limiter and it has been clipped.
I don't know, but am just guessing.

a 1n4148/1n914 will work for the mod limiter in most cases.

Thanks Tech291,I changed out the clipped diode and its working a little better but when I listen to myself on another radio it still has weak modulation. I checked it on a modulation meter and it peggs the meter at 100% without even talking into the mic. Anyone know how to fix this?
