How many watts is a Ranger 2970 radio supposed to do .... on am / ssb / fm bands ? I know the advertisements read " 100 watts " but is that the facts ?

out of the box they will swing around 100 watts on am! also 100 watts ssb! mine with the varible power turned all the way up on am keys 55 watts and swings 175+ on ssb the radio does right around 200 watts! fm is a straight 55 watts! with the varible wattage i can make it key anywhere from 11-55 watts am and can turn it down to a 20 watt swing on ssb! hope this helps!
