ive got 2 cobra 29's a dale ernhadt jr,edition and a nw st.both tweaked and peaked both a lil high on dead key and good out put 18 and 15 watts plus good modulation.i would like to run low drive linears on them .i have heard of the res. cap mod,and i have the parts and can do it the amps are shooting star 225 and 225 plus should i do the mod to lower dead key for them to ru n them or just have the cb tec guy (and he,s reputible) turn em down for me.as a matter of fact going today to have him check out an amp for me.i am going to try to git on this mornig and yell at yaw i hope i hear ya.well thanky in advance for any help and in put. |

Personally, I wouldnt do the res/cap mod. It's not a good thing to do if you plan to run an amp. Just turn the carrier down to 2-2.5 watts.
