Need help on how to install a PG-1 PING sound toy /module in a new old type COBRA 148 GTL. I have no instructions . Need to make sure where each wire goes and where can I pick up the 12V power source. The PING unit is also new and has a Yellow/Black/Red /Green wire. and help can e-mail me or just post .Thank you SCANNERSAM

If I were you I'd do Google searcch and see if you can find instructions. I could only help with two wires and thats only if they are coded correctly. I have never heard of this module. It probably will be ssimilar to other modules though of the same type and use, so the wiring hook up should be the same as long as the wires are coded the same. Sorry.

obviously, black is ground. put the red wire to the 'on' side of the on off switch. as for the other 2, 1 wire goes to the audio wire off the mic jack-that's pin 1, & the other to the keying side of mic jack-pin 5. don't know which would be yellow or green though. get red & black hooked up, & try the other 2 one way then the other til you find it.
